□ Use the Skills Lab to understand why a student is at their current level — and what motivates their next step. A student at Level 2 who rates related skills "Always" has everything they need to grow; they just need the right opportunity.

□ The rubric below describes observable behaviors for each POG across the 5-level progression: Emerging → Developing → Proficient → Advanced → Transformative. Teachers use this to assign POG levels each marking period. Update descriptors with exact language from your Muskegon DRAFT spreadsheet.

□ Marking Period Workflow

1. Students complete Xello Skills Lab (once at start of year, re-take optional)
2. Teacher observes student behaviors and assigns a POG level (1 Emerging → 5 Transformative) each marking period
3. Open the Student Profile to see the full crosswalk progression view
4. Use the Teacher Prompt to guide a 5-minute coaching conversation
5. Log notes and set a goal for next marking period
