Counselors, Advisers, Career Development Facilitators and Classroom Teachers
In Michigan, all students in grades 7–12 develop and update an Educational Development Plan (EDP) to guide their career and education goals. To support this, the Muskegon Area Promise has expanded access to Xello for grades K–12, reaching over 40 schools and 16,000 students. Xello provides countywide career awareness, exploration, and planning tools aligned with the Michigan Career Development Model, with the goal of making every student “future ready.”
Additionally, the State now requires districts to provide students in grades 7–12 with an electronic informational packet on post-graduation and career planning. The new Michigan Pathfinder Resources meet this requirement, offering state-specific education and career information. These resources are already accessible through every student’s Xello dashboard.
